C.P.S. will tELL Parents that the Family Safety Plan is to Ensure that the child/REN are safe in the home. They may base the safety plan on many things, including a messy household, domestic violence allegations, need for counseling, AND/OR drug and alcohol dependency. safety plans will often include drug testing, assessments, and any services recommended by service providers.
The family safety plan is offered to keep the child/Ren in the home or to reTURN THEM "AS SOON AS POSSIBLE" - But only if the parents complete the safety plan to the expectations of the social worker, which can sometimes change without any notice.
safety plans often consist of assessments and services by providers, including parenting classes, domestic violence treatment or anger management, drug and alcohol testing and treatment, psychological assessments, psychotropic drugs and counseling.
in some cases, the safety plan will also insist that one parent moves out of the house, or that the family change residences.
The "Agreement" of SERVICES
Family Safety Plan
SOCIAL WORKERS VERY OFTEN CLAIM THEIR GOAL IS ALWAYS REUNIFICATION WITH THE FAMILY. BUT IN MANY CASES, THE ACTIONS OF CORRUPT SOCIAL WORKERS PROVE THAT THIS IS NOT Always TRUE.
THEIR REAL GOAL IS NOT REUNIFICATION. IT IS TO PUSH PARENTS INTO AS MANY SERVICES AS POSSIBLE AND OBTAIN THE TERMINATION OF PARENTAL RIGHTS
BECAUSE WITHOUT THE PARENTS IN SERVICES OR THE CHILD/REN BEING LEGALLY FREE TO BE ADOPTED, THERE ISN'T ANY FEDERAL FUNDING OR JOB SECURITY.
the family safety plan is an extremely important tool used to obtain the services or initiate the proceedings to strip parents of their rights to their child/ren. Just like with assessments, without voluntary acceptance of the services, CPS does not have evidence of the agreement (need) for services and there cannot be a basis for the standard of progress parents are supposed to be making through the services.
what the social worker will not mention is that the family safety plan is a legally binding contract, and once signed, sets out two different "trains" onto the family law track.
a clock begins ticking on the rights of the parents.
train #1 - ChilD/REN returned or maintained in the home, CPS closes the case after extended supervision of services
train #2 - The permanent termination of parental rights, making the child/ren legally free to be adopted or bounced around the foster system until they age out as adults.
which ever train is closest to the station by the end of their clock (approximately 6 months to 1 year, but has been known to go on for longer), that is the train the DEPARTMENT will pursue.
IF A PARENT SIGNS THE FAMILY SAFETY PLAN, THEY ARE AGREEING WITH ALL OF THE ALLEGATIONS BY THE SOCIAL WORKERS, EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT TRUE AND THERE ISN'T EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THEM.
ONCE SIGNED, THE PARENTS ARE AGREEING THAT THEY ARE A RISK TO THEIR CHILD/REN AND IN SOME LOCATIONS ARE PLACED ON CHILD ABUSE REGISTRY LISTS
THE PARENTS ARE ALSO AGREEING to give up their right to due process, including their right to an attorney, and their right to evidence and a trial. Parents who sign are also agreeing that IF THEY DO NOT COMPLETE THE FAMILY SAFETY PLAN ACCORDING TO THE SOCIAL WORKERS EXPECTATIONS, THE DEPARTMENT CAN PURSUE THEIR PARENTAL RIGHTS IN A COURT TRIAL.
CORRUPT SOCIAL WORKERS WILL ATTEMPT TO COERCE AGREEMENT OF THE FAMILY SAFETY PLAN.
THEY WILL OFTEN BE BITTERLY SWEET ABOUT "services BEING THERE TO HELP"
IF A PARENT DOES NOT AGREE, a corrupt SOCIAL WORKER TYPICALLY JUMPS TO THREATENING BEHAVIOR, USING THE PARENTS IGNORANCE AND FEAR OF THE COURT SYSTEM TO COERCE AGREEMENT UNDER THREAT OF LOSING THEIR CHILDREN FOR GOOD THROUGH A trial.
OFTEN TIMES FAMILY SAFETY PLANS ARE OFFERED DURING WHAT IS CALLED FAMILY TEAM DECISION MAKING MEETINGS (FTDM). THIS ISN'T REALLY A family TEAM DECISION. THIS IS A CPS team DECISION. PARENTS ARE OFTEN BROUGHT INTO SMALL ROOMS IN THE BACK OF THE CPS OFFICES, AND CORNERED BY CORRUPT SOCIAL WORKERS AND SUPERVISORS, WHO INTIMIDATE THE PARENTS INTO SIGNING THE AGREEMENT THROUGH THREATS AND COERCION TACTICS. specifically the loss of custody of their own children.
OUR BIGGEST PIECE OF ADVICE...
DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING.
refuse to agree. MAKE THEM TAKE YOU TO COURT.
make them prove you need the services they want you to do.
